I always thought that their Self Titled was a "Breakthrough" ... I guess that it was just for me.

Isn't the self-titled album the breakthrough album? I'm from DC so maybe I'm biased, but GC got a lot of airplay in our area (perhaps because GC came from MD though). "Little Things" and other singles got some airplay. I agree though that The Young and the Hopeless brought the group's mainstream, top 40 success.

We didn't like this album in middle school. We were too punk. ha.

How far these guys have fallen.

I loved this record in high school but I don't know if I'd even see a 10 year tour if it happened.

I think you answered your own question. "Little Things" go SOME airplay, sure. Nothing on the S/T came close to the success of their The Young & The Hopeless

I probably wouldn't be a fan of music if I didn't pick Y+H up like nine and a half years ago. Despite some of the choices they've made with succeeding releases, I will always appreciate this band and this album.

This was a gateway album for me. I probably wouldn't have heard of Brand New, Glassjaw or Thrice until later if it weren't for the show Benji and Joel hosted on MTV "All Things Rock"...

Loved this album as a kid, not so much now. I listened to it a ton for a few years, though.

this album and The Chronicles Of Life And Death were some of my favorite records back in 2006/2007. i still like the latter but i'm not sure about that one, though i still jam The Anthem and Lifestyles Of Rich And Famous.

Only good album of theirs was their self titled.
