I keep seeing this posted on AP and I don't understand why. The man arouses vitriol because he's clearly a deluded tool, he's a deluded tool because he arouses vitriol and he's convinced himself that makes him important. It's a circular conversation and it's not even worth having, so I hate reading things about him.
Serious question though: Where does this fall in the spectrum of all the blatantly superficial, boring white-rap that's oversaturated the "rap scene"? I don't think I'm qualified to make an opinion on this kind of music, but I can see a bunch of MGK/Mac Miller fans digging this garbage because it's up their alley. If that's the case: good on him for having crossover appeal. I honestly hope he sticks to it and finds great success so his awful band stops touring. I'd much rather have him be the laughing stock of an intentionally silly and flashy scene than see people from the punk scene idolizing him and making an ass of themselves.
The beat is really bad, lyrically its really bad, his tone is really bad and annoying like he's trying to make people not like him, and the chorus is super annoying and not catchy. And its five and a half minutes, why do that? This guy completely lacks self-awareness and its really sad and cringeworthy.
And he really wants to be Eminem, he could at least be less blatant with it.
