What I'm getting from this is that they might make another great album someday if they're off a major.

What will be the excuse for the next album?

I'm sure All Time Low will be saying this very same thing in the near future.

Agreed.....Dirty Work will ruin them. It's gotten terrible press from just about everywhere.

So sick of this band and the 4,000 others that look and sound like them.

I think this is time for Bands and solo artists alike to stop joining Atlantic. First they did this to Mayday and they also recently did this to Lupe... They have a solid history of "fucking with the formula"

Label's influence or not, without Jason Lancaster they're just a generic pop rock band.

It's always lame when a band has to go back to their "old sound" when their last record tanks. Was never a huge fan of theirs but I'll check out their new stuff(ha) to see if it's decent.

I love Lancaster, but I do think Derek is a talented guy and the rest of the band is also better than that shitty release would indicate.

I still listen to A Lesson In Romantics pretty often. I listened to the other album maybe one and a half times. It was fucking terrible. I hope they mean what they say here and they come up with something legitimate. If they don't, they're done, or at least should be.

I don't think it's lame, necessarily. Bands should always be evolving and trying new things, but there will be plenty of times when that doesn't work out. Most bands have a particular sound that "fits" them best. It doesn't automatically mean they're trying to clone the initial successful release.

I liked ALIR and I really don't care about anything else so it's kewl
