So I'm an elitist for suggesting that Paramore isn't a very unique or particuliary talented band? Maybe one that is just riding the wave of a current trend in music? If thats elitism than sure I guess I am. I'd rather listen to something that intrigues me and impresses me on a level that hasn't been redone over and over by the same bands. I'm not knocking anyone that finds this music fun or whatever. I was just stating my opinion.

I really enjoy "Turn It Off" Pretty good album.

Good album. After a couple of listens, it's really growing on me.

it's a good album, but i wish i liked it more. no songs really bring me back for more.

I'm still dissecting the album. I've listened to it all the way through, but the first five tracks really got me hooked.

Even if I don't end up loving the record, this will probably be the Paramore album I respect the most. The band seems completely unphased about matching up to the success of RIOT! and tried something different. I think the lyrics are much better too, even in the songs I'm not into. And the darker Paramore presented on this record sounds a lot better than the darker Paramore from "Decode."

Overall, brand new eyes is worthy of applause and potentially a sign of a spectacular and more perfected album to come.

agreed with the review, really enjoyable album. I love Misguided Ghosts though--no way it is "lukewarm"

This is exactly how I feel. I am super surprised at how much I like this band. Just fun, catchy music.

overrated band is overrated

Good review, but i do think Misguided Ghosts fits with the record nicely. It seems to be very raw, and her voice sounds more natural than all the rest of the songs on the album.
