This is awful, but this happens ALL the time. A 15 passenger van with a trailer and out of state plates is a beacon for crimnals. Shitty as it is, when will bands stop leaving cash/ laptops/ gear/ behind the single breakable lock of a ford. And in some seedy motel parking lot no less? Don't leave a hundred grand worth of tampons sitting in a trailer in a parking lot, some will steal it.
I cannot describe how much I hate whoever stole this. Probably some useless crackhead thug who dropped out of high school and now is trying to make a living by dealing drugs and robbing people then re-selling their stuff. I hope this person gets caught with their stuff and gets his ass slammed in prison, where he deserves to be.
I'm glad they found the van, at least maybe then they will save a bit of the replacement costs. But this is unconscionable. Between these kinds of stories and others (ie. the fact people are illegally downloading copies of the Dear Jack documentary + EP, the nurses at my uncle's nursing home who stole his rosary beads), I just really have to shake my head in confusion at how many people find it in themselves to do shitty things like this. So sad.
At least they got their van back.
Wow, though, a hundred thousand dollars of gear is going to be pretty hard to replace, not to mention that some of it probably had sentimental value to them.
