This is amazing news, BUT...

I personally had already settled into the idea that this was a one-time side project that we'd probably never see any new material from. At this point, I think everyone's expectations (mine included) are way too high, and that this album will inevitably disappoint. That's just my prediction, and I sincerely hope that i'm 100% wrong.

and now i find out that TPS is a side project of Ben Gibbard.

My thoughts exactly. I'm going to try to set my expectation level to "Give Up B-Side" and hope that i get pleasantly surprised.

This is incredible. I can't wait for this. In my opinion 'Give Up' is one of the best albums to come out in the past 5 years. I listen to pretty often. I'm a massive Ben Gibbard fan. I'd like to maybe see (if possible) a couple of acoustic songs or songs incorporating acoustics. I love all of the acoustic versions of postal service songs.

I can't fucking wait. Give Up has to be my favorite driving cd of all time.
