you and pitchfork both got it wrong. the liars are number one. but good picks, ive barely looked into these lists and i know you are the only person ill remotely agree with.

the knife's record is pretty solid, i've only heard it once through though. i'll listen to it more i guess???

I agree with them. I was on the fence about The Hold Steady until about a week ago when I saw them live. They have an insane amount of energy on stage, especially Craig Finn, and their songs just flat out rock. After seeing them, Boys and Girls in America is easily one of my favorites of the year (while still being mildly dissapointed that it doesn't give their live show justice.)

No love for Grizzly Bear either?

The Knife are extremely overrated, ridiculous mediawhores and terrible live. The record didn't sound that great the last time I listened to it (last year), so I won't comment that.

But very enjoyable read, nevertheless.

Haven't listened to it enough, I guess. I've heard good things though, so I'll give it another spin or two.
