I'm rather worried about how the book is going to translate to a movie. I will try to go into this with little expectations so hopefully I will be able to have an open mind and see it for what it is. Part of me knows that I probably will not be able to so I just hope that it doesn't suck too badly. It is also a hope of mine that they will cast this well enough and keep it similar enough to speak to what everyone loved about the book.

I think it will translate very well because Chbosky is writing and directing it. He knows how a scene should look and feel because he is the one who created it. I'm guessing he's going to give the movie the same feel/vibe that the book has. As far as casting, I've only heard two and they are really great choices. Logan looks EXACTLY like how I pictured Charlie.

i goog imaged the fella and thought the same thing when i saw this very picture. i'll have my kids watch this movie before they enter high school since books will obviously be obsolete by then.

I remember reading this and Catcher in the Rye when I was 14. Hope it turns out well. The thing I remember most is that Charlie used to read books and said something about how his favorite book is always the last one he read. That resonated with me, I get the same feeling reading books.

Yeah that was really an awesome quote from that book. My favorite scene is when he gets the type writer for Christmas from Sam. I hope that scene in the movie comes out well.
