Melissa Ivey - Lovers and Stars

Reviewed by: Russ Hockenbury (01/06/07)
Melissa IveyLovers & Stars
Label: Unsigned
Release Date: October 10, 2006

Who:

Former teenage punk rock girl turned Sheryl Crow-like singer/songwriter at the ripe old age of 23. Ivey was voted Denver’s Best Singer/Songwriter by local media for two straight years

How is it?

Ready for the radio. She’s got the look. She’s got the voice. She’s got the edgy (but not too much) rock track, “Far Far Away”. Spin that shit, Mr. DJ.

Mila Kunis can rock!: “Far Far Away”

No blondes allowed: Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett, Kt Tunstall
