Cool that they feel this strongly the issue, but the fact that even the most left states are still against it is telling.

I saw this band open for Hot Water Music in Detroit a month ago and didn't care for them at all, but I totally respect this.

Good to see bands standing up for personal freedom. Though, personally, I think the state should stay out of marriage permanently. Marriages should be personal contracts between two individuals that don't require a license. I just think the government shouldn't get involved in it. Even still, I recognize the injustice so if there's going to be government intervention, I at least want it to be fair and equal for all people.

Exactly! I think it's the most sensible answer. If the government wasn't involved in marriage, this wouldn't even be an issue. Many of these heated debates over the issue wouldn't happen. Everyone would have their own definition of marriage. The Government would not be imposing a belief, religions would have a right to their own definition, and most importantly, individual rights are not trampled on.
