parliament isn't laid back... they're the biggest traveling party there is. i think in terms of funk being a style and not neccessarily a style of song writing- gym class isn't too far from it. what other band do you listen to that has a hype-man waving a flag?! haha
Yeah, I'd say this guy is a pretty talented writer and actually 'gets it'. When it comes down to it, GHC is cute but entirely forgettable, and to assume that they'll be around longer than their "mellow rap-rock" predecessors like Crazytown, Sugar Ray, or Smashmouth is very wishful thinking.
