This ... basically ... erases all of the promotion the bubble may have given the band.

I don't want to wait either. But hey, it comes out a few days before my 20th birthday which is pretty cool.

I don't want to wait another month either. But I will. I'm pretty stoked for this and there upcoming tour with Nightmare of You.

Exactly the point. The bubble got more bad press than good; this will give that some time to wear off.

Looks like someone needs to do more work on an album.

I'm sure the mixing process was just as rushed as the recording process. And they realized that and are fixing it.

I think the label wants to release the single with a video first.

Here's something I've been meaning to say for a while: stop worrying about first weeks, and release the music earlier. We live in a society of instant gratification - there is no downside to releasing an album to fans as soon as you can. The promotion aspect can be handled later and you can pull in the "other" people afterward. This technique is why P!atD blew up.
