The AbsolutePunk.net Staff's Favorite Albums of 2011 Clicking the album art takes you to a Spotify stream of the record.
The thing about these staff compilation lists is that nobody is ever completely happy. There's maybe one or two dudes who are like, "Boo yah!" And then everyone else just kind of exhales very slowly and loudly together. But that only happens if you are looking at a Year End Compilation list like some sort of competition. Which, sure, is understandable. We put numbers next to these albums and that's supposed to give them more relevance or greatness or whatever. But maybe the best way to look at these things is just, "Here are some albums that are most likely very good." Is one better than the other because it has a 3 next to it instead of a 16? Well, that depends on you. So if anything is important here, it's that at least some large-ish group of people liked these records. Whether they liked them "enough" for you or not is something you have to work through on your own. Take a look below. Let us know what you think. But most importantly, let's just celebrate. 2011, everybody.

I'm so out of touch. I haven't heard the majority of the top albums on anyones list and I've actually never even heard of a decent amount of everyone elses favorites.
