I was going to compile a list of big Canadian music news stories for 2011, but then I realized I probably should have started working on it a lot sooner than this morning. The two big ones that stand out to me right now are Living With Lions' artwork controversy and Alexisonfire breaking up. Feel free to share your notable moments over the last 12 months. Or not.

And as for records, if you haven't heard the new Brighter Brightest, get on that. It was a good year for Canadian music and hopefully 2012 is even better!
