What The Film?! is one of my personal favorite columns on the site. Dane is both hilarious and informative

I love the Alien franchise, but the AVP films are indeed weak.

At first I thought they were hating on the first two Alien films..and then realized they were just shitting on the ones that weren't the first two.

T.R.A.M. doesn't seem to be something I'd love, but it was super cool to see the AAL duo combined with Eric Moore.

Third one is underrated. Nowhere near the first two, of course, but it has some interesting concepts, plus Fincher's direction.

I'll give you Fincher and some of the concepts, but the whole thing with killing Ripley so fast made the first two feel like they had no point.

But it's still much better than AVP haha

Agreed. Killing Ripley felt like Fincher's last-chance effort to leave his mark on a series he knew he underperformed on. It's not bad, but it's definitely hard to defend. AVP was much worse

T.R.A.M. is so good.
