I'm just now reading his previous blog post. Nearly booed off stages? Where did that happen? Surely if that was something that happened often, word would have gotten out. (And by 'word', I mean 'YouTube videos'.)
And saying it was "critically panned" just isn't true.

84% from this site, 3 1/2 out of 5 from Alternative Press and Rolling Stone, A- from A.V. Club, etc. Maybe it didn't go over well with audiences but it definitely was not critically panned.
(And to throw in my own opinion, Folie is their best album.) |
I feel like critically panned means little scene kids hated it, the real fans like many of us appreciated their development as artists. With maturity comes different musical tastes, and many of those that were still on the Dance Dance kick were probably never big fans of music in general.
