Welcome back Billy Corgan. Seriously, this album is great and surprised me so much.

sucks.

musically it's almost back, but lyrically it's just horrendous. and his vocals on this album are just plain shit. and on top of sounding like shit, they're way to high in the mix.

Listened to song one. Instant reminder of old Smashing Pumpkins. That is a good thing. Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream are two of the best albums of all time.

The Smashing Pumpkins were always "Billy and Friends". James Iha had co songwriting credits on like....4 songs total.

Not to mention that Billy had to play for James and Darcy (at least on Siamese Dream) in studio because they just fucking sucked at playing their instruments and were more like eyecandy than any sort of professional musicians.

Oh man, most of these comments have me way too excited. I'm holding out until I have some alcohol/cigarettes/free time though.

First two tracks have a lot instrumental elements of the first two albums, I'm very excited.

I really hate when people say this. If Billy is the main force and it sounds like the Pumpkins (which really has no clearly defined "sound") and he wants to release it under that name, I don't see why not. But apparently, if band members drop out, the name must be changed!
