Brooklyn-based digital music service TuneCore.com, which provides artists a platform to sell their music without having to surrender copyrights, masters or even a portion of sales, will give away seven million copies of a compilation titled 34 Stars in conjunction with iTunes, PayPal, Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, Yamaha and Obedia.com. Starting today, fans can visit www.tunecore.com/freealbum to receive a code with which they'll be able to download the record as an iTunes playlist starting tomorrow. Artists represented include Public Enemy, La Laque, Bowerbirds and A Place To Bury Strangers.
