Bad joke aside, it's nice that he's volunteering and trying to get others to help. I think he's a tool, but he's a nice guy for doing this.

haha. dude, I think...I'm not sure. But I think, if you're only volunteering to hang with someone famous...you might be an asshole. Again, not totally sure about that. But, maybe.

I'd do this to hang out with John. Why wouldn't you? Dude's one of the coolest people out there. Not everyday you get to hang out with a legend. Plus you get to help out veterans. Don't get the hate at all.

I love all the fucking idiots in this thread. Yah, you have to pay(i.e, donate money for a fucking charity) to do volunteer work with John Mayer. No one is saying only do it to win. Most people who enter are probably doing so with no hopes of actually winning, they just feel good donating money and if they win a chance to help more with someone they look up to, awesome!

idgi, I assumed the money from the raffle was going to charity too? So even if they're doing it for superficial reasons they're still helping out so who cares what the reasons are? If it weren't for tax write-offs or looking good to the public, tons of people wouldn't donate. Either way, good comes from it no matter the intentions.

pretty cool how they are making sure that you don't end up having to pay money for winning. im not really interested in this but it sounds cool i guess
