I mean...I just sort of listened to it and didn't like it that much. A lot was said about their recording process and when I finally heard the finished product, I put that fact as well as how I felt about the record's sound together and created an assumption that the album suffered as a result of the recording process.

No, I did not make charts and graphs indicating who mixed and mastered each song and compared that with my enjoyment of each song. I didn't talk to a shrink about it or anything. I don't have that kind of time.

With all that said, it looks like they are writing and recording together in the same room for this record. Good. They clearly heard the criticism and are attempting to rectify it.

I like Tom's "singing" in angels and airwaves.. Hope Tom gets alittle gritty and nasally for this new album.

because if you don't got a band

you can't have an opinion on one or music in general

okay bro, do you gots a band too!?

I used to be in a band. It takes a lot of hard work and detication. Every band covered on this site puts their heart into everything that they do. Do you how hard it is too actually get a band together? Nevermind tour successfully and put out albums. Every artist tries their hardest to produce quality work for people to enjoy, and you just shit on all of them. If you like a band that cool and I'm sure the band appreciates it but no one appreciates a low life sitting behind a computer screen talking shit because they have nothing better to do than jerk off. You are scum.

The most listened to ones are on lastfm.
Good point.

Any update on that breakdown by track of where the songs were recorded/demoed/created etc?

I'd really like to see it.

Neighborhoods is definitely under appreciated. Sure some of it (Snake Charmer, Love is Dangerous, and Fighting the Gravity) was terrible but Natives, Kaleidoscope, Even If She Falls, and Wishing Well are all some of my favorite Blink songs.
It blows my mind that I have the exact opposite opinion of you (and other) in this regard. I think Fighting the Gravity and Snake Charmer are 2 of the 5 tracks that are worthwhile to me and the others you mentioned as "good" sound like manufactured garbage to me.

To each their own for sure, but I will blare Fighting the Gravity all day long.

can someone post a link of this list? never seen it.

It's in the Oct. 2011 issue of Alternative Press. It talks about the songs written after they canceled the European tour, two of which are "After Midnight" and "MH 04.18.2011". Under the blurb about "After Midnight", it says "Those songs were written in the studio by the three of us, and I think when we write in that manner, great things happen."
