a stupid fuck with brilliant luck.

American Idiot had a bigger impact on mainstream culture/media. It's more meaningful in my opinion and it was a HUGE step forward in the career of a band that was almost calling it a day by that time.
BUT, I'd still go with blink's self-titled/untitled album, simply because it is the masterpiece by my favorite band. And no one (Except the fans) gave much "artistic credit" for the band that was known for their joke songs and fast-paced/radio-friendly pop-punk at that time, so it was a very good surprise to listen to those 3 challenging themselves so beautifuly and succeeding at it.
I also like to think of this album as the 2nd part of a trilogy - being the BCR album, blink's self-titled and +44's WYHSB. Call me stupid, but I think they are related and a big part in tom, mark and travis' careers together (and apart)
