Fall Out Boy Plan "Beat It" Video

Posted by: Jason Tate (04/16/08)
Fall Out Boy's new video for "Beat It" will feature an homage to Michael Jackson's past videos. A casting call for "various dancers, jump-roping girls, sumo wrestlers, nerds and "a hot Puerto Rican girl" has recently gone out.

imo, this is a waste of time. honestly, with the state of "music television" today videos really don't give songs THAT much of a bump in sales.

The whole thing should just be an homage to his Liberian Girl video. The best of the best.

music videos are marketing. a label wouldn't drop thousands of dollars on a video for a song "just for fun". by no means am i saying they're money hungry, but honestly you're naive if you think that a video isn't released to market and promote a song in order to boost sales.

seriously, i'd probably be more interested in this if usher, jt, chris brown, omarion, and any other male performer that has MJ as an influence when it comes to their dancing came together and made this.

maybe they'll drop their instruments during one part and join in on the choreography...

The best video to have sumo wrestlers was Weezer's Hashpipe, and that's not debatable.

There are more places to see videos than MTV.
