It is with extremely heavy hearts that we have to announce that we will no longer be a part of this upcoming tour with The Almost and Palisades.
Over the last few weeks, we've tried figuring out ways financially to have this tour make sense without us going further into debt, but the harsh reality is that we just can't. A tremendous amount of expenses go into doing a tour out west, and we truthfully just cannot dig another hole for ourselves.
Our sincerest apologies go out to anyone who was planning to come and see us, a huge thank you to The Almost for having considered us on their record release tour, and we hope to make it up to everyone soon. Please go and support this tour because there will be some excellent music at these shows.
No band ever wants to be in this position, but sometimes that tough call has to be made. We are gutted about making that call, but hope we can bounce back as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support, and we hope to see you soon.
If they couldn't afford to make the tour work, why did they accept the offer in the first place? It seems to be embarrassing to drop off a tour before it's even begun due to financial issues. They probably could've avoided this announcement in the first place if they would've thought it through.
These are just the times we're living in, sucks that talent and hard work don't really pay off in the long run for musicians. These days you have to be self sufficient(Record yourself, make your own art, media and whatever else you usually pay other people to do) to survive and be able to play music and even then it can still be a total struggle. I agree with their call, they did the right thing for them.
Edit: I wanted to add that yes, sure there are some musicians and bands that are making it work for now and making money to really enjoy life who've worked hard, have talent and deserve it, but it's totally rare and a total risk that some eventually don't want to take, that was my overall point.
Tour was kinda bullshit anyway. The Almost planned the tour around a series of christian purity seminars they were playing so there were only like 6-7 dates Conditions and Palisades were actually allowed to play on
