They annoy me too. We chose the name because the phrase "we are the union" actually meant a lot to us growing up in the auto-industry hub of metro-Detroit. In 2005, there weren't ten million bands named "we are the (actual band name goes here)" and it actually seemed like an original idea. Unbeknownst to us, The Fury was about to change their name to We Are The Fury and start an entire trend among a group of bands we had nothing in common with. That's the way life goes, eh?
