not cool. i feel like they wouldn't like this review either. i didn't realize it was still cool to "hate the man."

It's not even as much the prospect of disagreeing or even disliking a review or critic, it's more or less the way they handle situations and fan relations that's seriously disheartening.

you know that Whirr doesn't care and only started commenting on it because people overreacted... to them dealing with a bunch of PC children isn't worth their time. I find it funny.

starting a discussion only to then proclaim that you are too cool or don't care about said discussion is pretty lame and extremely unoriginal.
personally, everyone is overreacting and it is funny to watch people get hung up on it.

I prefer to think there's a difference between being PC and not advocating offensive and derogatory terms ("retard", specifically). The band definitely cares about press, and that's a good thing, but the way they handle it just makes turns me off to supporting them, as talented as they may be. Laugh all they want, but I'm not the only person who feels that way and I think whichever asshole thought it would be funny to start calling their fanbase "a bunch of pussies" shouldn't be surprised when others lose interest as well.
i stopped caring about being offended

you are very progressive!
tl;dr version of my standpoint:
lets stop pretending that the words 'pussy' and 'retard' have the same weight as the 'n word' or' fa***t'

I'm not gonna waste my time on a full-fledge essay about the ramifications of words people choose to use and how society reacts to it because I don't think it will change your opinion. The funny part about the overly sensitive PC youth is they are not interested in having a conversation. They want to stand on their soap box and condemn everyone else.

These words being deemed offensive is also largely a US thing. Not that it really matters, but it is interesting to point out
