Hologram Michael Jackson Appears At Billboard Music...

Posted by: Jason Tate (05/19/14)
A hologram of Michael Jackson appeared last night at the Billboard Music Awards, almost five years after the singer's death. A video of performance (do we call it a performance?) can be found on The Verge.

I think this "trend" is weird. It doesn't sit right with me. It was cool but still...

yeah it was weird... and the closeups of his face made it even weirder since it looked obviously fake. especially since his appearance came from the 90s/"black or white" era. just strange, overall.

cool song though. the album is really great.

Kind of cool, kind of odd. It's such a weird gimmick to utilize in remembrance of someone and sell some singles. I dig the song though.

I just feel wrong listening to this new stuff given that MJ clearly said "No" to it when he was alive.

I hate that kind of video player, so much. Never ever buffers for me. What I saw was pretty cool, though, and I dig a lot of the new (unreleased) material.

Yeah, but artists often abandon what may go on to be some of their best material (Rivers Cuomo and Pinkerton, etc.)

Seems disrespectful in my opinion, but maybe that's just me. Let the guy be dead in peace and stop making him into a weird ass hologram caricature.

I wonder if he'll join Holographic Tupac on Rise.

Wait, was the hologram of a CGI Jackson or of an actor? I was under the impression it was an actor, one who did not quite look enough like MJ and also did not know the lyrics to the song that well. The moonwalk looked off too.

I do like the "new" Xscape album. Some really good tracks on there.

I find it very strange that this hologram stuff is really coming on strong ever since the Tupac Coachella moment.. I'd have a really tough time paying to ever see this stuff live. Everything's going to technological for my own taste. I'll just keep listening to MJ records and seeing actual bands in venues
