I really hope this isn't a stupid publicity stunt for a new album.

Probably a publicity stunt. I'd imagine if this was true Sumerian would have included "If you have seen or have any knowledge of his whereabouts, we urge you to call police/911/us/etc. immediately."

You mean like this. A PR person of an entire record company would be smart enough to push this as a publicity stunt.

I thought maybe AP only took a portion of their Facebook post, but that's literally all they posted. No other information? No local numbers to call if anything is seen? Nothing else to be said at all? And those tweets... I don't want to trivialize the situation if he's actually missing, but something seems fishy.

Edit: I'm slow at typing on mobile.

I was going to make a remark on this as well, but can tweets be used to determine if a person is missing or not? Since they potentially could've come from anyone at any place. There's no easy way to verify that it was sent by him from his house.

Yeap.. it even sounds like a PR person wrote it. Who writes "breaking news" for a missing persons? if this is serious, then I'm sorry and I really do hope he's found alive soon. but if not, i think this is in bad taste.

I really hope this isn't for publicity. If it is, I feel like they could get in trouble with the police department with people calling up and whatnot.

Seems kinda odd the way they worded it and the shortness of the statement. But I hope this isn;t a publicity stunt because that would be pretty terrible. But (sorta) knowing the band and label, wouldn't really surprise me.
