this is basically a list of the year in indie rock

Lack of Thrice and Protest the Hero makes me sad.

I love She and Him, though at #1? I think that's a little high. Bon Ivor is definitely one of the best albums of the year though. I don't think anyone can argue that. And isn't it a little early to determine the best of the best? I'd be super bummed if I had an album coming out in December.

I'm not going to ridicule it because it doesn't match my list. That might end up being one of the better year end lists to come out this year, judging by what's come out in the past by the major mags. I can't say their #1 registered with me at all, though. I doubt it will be in my top few hundred for the year.

Had Oracular Spectacular come out in 2008, it could have gone on this list, but it came out last October. They dropped the ball on that one.

Obviously it is a joke when Wayne is the only hip hop on the entire list.

how the fuck did colour revolt get on there, i mean they are ok but on a top 50 list, i dont think so. i want to know where the matches are. that is a great record.

i love me some Weezy, but a list that attempts to include hip hop this year without mentioning T.I. is just silly.
