Deerhunter are back at Rare Book Room Studio in Brooklyn recording their follow up to 2010's Halcyon Digest. Bassist Josh Fauver appears to have left the group.

You can see the new Deerhunter video for "Helicopter" here. The video was conceived and created by frontman Bradford Cox. The band will also embark on a UK tour in 2011. The dates are in the replies.

Come this April, Deerhunter will be in New York City recording their followup to Cryptograms with Nicolas Vernhes at Rare Book Studios. The album is currently entitled Microcastle and is being described as a "kind of a doo-wop, 50s/early 60s, Everly Brothers, but through this kind of schizophrenic lens."
