This week's Before They Were Stars feature takes a look at Bayside frontman Anthony Raneri. Before his mouth was shooting blanks and portraits were bruised just like you, he was a 16-year-old guitarist in a band called The Saints of 35th Street. Check out the song "K.Y.G." in the replies along with Ant's reflection of his time in the band. Oh how different things could have been...
Anthony Raneri's first solo song, "The Ballad of Bill the Saint," will be posted at midnight tonight on his myspace. He'll be playing it at all the "Where's the Band Tour" shows w/Dustin Kensrue, Matt Pryor and Chris Conley on the west coast and his solo headline shows on the east coast in January.
Nick from Bayside has a new music review blog where he writes about a particular song he thinks you would like from artists you may or may not have heard. "After being on Warped Tour all summer, I saw so many young people listening to terrible music, maybe they don't know what good music is, and why it's good? I'll try to at least lead you in the right direction." Read up and listen to good music. Featured right now are Frank Turner and Nada Surf.
Bayside will celebrate their homecoming from a long year of touring with a special hometown show at Irving Plaza on October 1st. A limited number of tickets have been held for Bayside fans through DucatKing that are available starting today. General presale will begin on August 13th at 12 pm EST through Irving Plaza.
