Swissted is now available for purchase. The posterbook, made by Mike Joyce (Fall Out Boy's TTTYG album art), is a collection of old punk, hardcore, and rock flyers which have been redesigned in Swiss art style. Musicians featured include H2O, Descendents, Bad Brains, Crimpshrine, Bauhaus, Iggy Pop, and many more.

Jamie Woolford (ex-The Stereo) will be doing a StageIt CD release show on January 15th, 2013. He will be performing with Stephen Egerton (Descendents), Ryan Seaman (Falling In Reverse) and more. You can watch a teaser video in the replies.

Two years ago, Devo had to cancel their headlining performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest due to injury and only weeks before the festival. It was announced that Descendents would be reuniting for the first time in about a decade to fill the spot, and as someone who was there, it was a blast. Our friends at Light and Noise TV were there to capture the whole thing, including the encore where Rise Against's Tim Mcllrath joined the band for "Bikeage." In case you haven't been able to see one of the one-offs, head to the replies to watch the full set. The seventh annual Fun Fun Fun Fest happens next weekend, and tickets are still available here.

Riot Fest 2012 will take place on September 14-16 at Humboldt Park and Congress Theater in Chicago, IL. In addition to headliners such as Rise Against, Iggy & the Stooges, Elvis Costello, Descendents, Dropkick Murphys and The Offspring, the event is scheduled to be Choidos' first show back with Craig Owens. Check out the poster with the first batch of bands in the replies.

Paper + Plastick has launched a new comic series called "Perfect Teeth." It follows the career of a vampire band and how the music industry tries to keep pace by signing other monster bands. Members of Less Than Jake and the Descendents teamed up to record a song as the vampire band, which goes by the name Perfect Teeth, and the song will be released later this month. When I grew up, I found myself more and more attracted to vocal melodies. I was getting more and more into that. I was trying to explore vocal melodies. "How about having more singing?" I've always been exploring that in my music. I headed more into that direction. I wanted to write more around the idea of a vocal melody. That's the hardest part for me since I'm not much of a lyricist. I had these vocal melodies all the time in my head. What I'm hearing in my head now is a music totality based in a melody.
