The crowd clearly loved every second of it, as this portion of the set garnered the loudest singalongs, the biggest circle pits and the most crowd surfers of the night. Danzig seemed to feed off the audience's enthusiasm, even going on the barricade to sing along with fans a few times. Doyle is an absolute beast, physically wailing on guitar harder than anyone I've ever seen. The songs may be 30 years old, but their unrelenting energy is timeless.

Grindcore nihilists Pig Destroyer released their fifth album, Book Burner, last week via Relapse Records. The deluxe edition comes with an EP of classic hardcore/punk covers, including Black Flag, Misfits, Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, Angry Samoans, Negative Approach and Void. Misfits bassist Jerry Only revealed in a recent interview that the band has been forced to part with drummer Robo due to travel restrictions. He has been replaced by Eric "The Goat" Arce of Murphy's Law. The band's new album will be titled The Devil's Rain.
Throwdown recently recorded covers of "London Dungon" by the Misfits and "Planets Collide" by Crowbar with producer Mudrock (Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold), one of which will appear on the upcoming Trustkill Records compilation release, due out on October 31st.
