From Their FacebookSo recently I've noticed in alot of reviews even though they are good reviews people talk about our simplicity, and some websites have even gone as far to basically make it sound like we are only mediocre musicians, and this pisses me off, so I made this video to show everyone, I can seriously SHRED a guitar, simple HA!

The joke album is called Songs To Start A Revolution To and it has been released under the band name "Sundrinker." Mixtapes wants you to know that "nothing about this is serious so don't expect any good songs or anything that's like our real music." They add that they can assure us "that No Sleep Records is very happy that we took their money for recording and also came out with this."

Today I am excited to bring you guys a new type of feature (called Too Long; Do Read) we'll be doing on the site every month. As part of a project I'm working on, I'll be writing these lengthy, cover-story, feature-typey articles once per month. January's feature is about Mixtapes, which is now recording its debut full-length for No Sleep Records. So if you are down for some morningtime reading, grab a coffee and pull up my feature on the band, titled "Cut the Bullshit and Get To Living: The Story of Mixtapes." Included in the feature are a few photos exclusive to AP.net and the exclusive premier of the group's music video for "You'd Better Bring More Dudes." Please leave your thoughts...

Mixtapes have signed with No Sleep Records. Expect a new full length sometime in 2012.

Press Release Mixtapes hails from Cincinnati, Ohio and formed in 2010. After some rough times in their personal lives Ryan Rockwell and Maura Weaver started writing songs together for fun with the idea to make a record and play some local shows. Since then they have consistently released music (48 songs in the past year and a half) and toured any and everywhere they can. They released two 7 inches and one LP on Animal Style Records, a split with Direct Hit! on Kind Of Like Records, and...
