A Facebook campaign has been launched to get Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to be this year's "Christmas Number 1" in the UK and in turn, prevent the winner of X Factor taking the "prize". A similar campaign was launched in 2009 which saw Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name" become "Christmas Number 1".

Nirvana's album Nevermind is set for a 20th anniversary special edition release on September 19. The re-issue will contain four CDs with unreleased tracks, BBC appearances, rare live recordings, b-sides and rarities and a DVD, which will be made up of an entirely unreleased live concert.
