Perma have completed tracking their first album. Expect it in the fall.

At last night's Rarities release show in Austin, Max Bemis announced a handful of updates. Max and Sherri's daughter Lucy will be born within the next few weeks or so. The Perma record is almost finished and will be released in fall. Lastly, Bemis has written half of the next Say Anything record, calling it his darkest, most twisted material. The band will hit the studio to record it after the Perma record is out.

We've received exclusive word that Max Bemis and Sherri Dupree-Bemis have officially starting tracking Perma's full-length debut in Tyler, TX. The album is due out in 2013 and will be accompanied by touring and music videos.

Max Bemis and his wife, Sherri Dupree-Bemis, have a side project named Perma. They are planning to record an album early next year, and Max said to expect something "more delicate" than Say Anything.

From the Interview

Max: Great, it’s awesome! She’s (Sherri Dupree-Bemis) busy making a new Eisley record and I’m busy too. When we’re both finished touring we’ll bunker down and write a record. The goal is to to record something at the beginning of next year.
AltSounds: What kind of sound can we expect from Perma?
Max: It’s going to be more delicate than anything Say Anything has ever done. It’s based on writing songs about my wife! I mean there’s some of the delicacy in Say Anything...

At this point, we've all decided to listen to Max Bemis through thick and thin, in sickness and in health. For nearly ten years, the Say Anything mastermind has won over fans through all kinds of sounds, and will do it again with the release of Anarchy, My Dear on March 13th via Equal Vision Records.
