John Mayer will perform at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where he'll be inducting the late blues artist Albert King.

Rush, Heart, Public Enemy, Donna Summer, Randy Newman and more will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year.

Axl Rose wrote an open later to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, stating that he declines his induction as a member of Guns N' Roses. The full text can be found below.

When the nominations for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame were first announced I had mixed emotions but, in an effort to be positive, wanting to make the most of things for the fans and with their enthusiasm, I was honored, excited and hoped that somehow this would be a good thing. Of course I realized as things stood, if Guns N' Roses were to be inducted it'd be somewhat of a complicated or awkward situation.

In a few weeks, Run DMC, Metallica, Jeff Beck, and more will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; FUSE TV will be broadcasting the ceremony - tune in on Saturday, April 4th, at 9PM EST to watch it go down (click here for more information). Metallica will be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year on April 4 in Cleveland along with Run-DMC, Jeff Beck, Bobby Womack, and Little Anthony and the Imperials.

Madonna has joined John Mellencamp, Beastie Boys, and other artists as a nominee to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
