Monument to Thieves posted two new rough mixes of new songs on myspace. The tracks feature Keith Barney (ex-Throwdown, ex-18 Visions) now on vocals. Replacing him on guitar is Marc Jackson (ex-Throwdown).

Throwdown has their new track "Americana," as well as an unreleased Crowbar cover entitled "Planets Collide" available for purchase on iTunes. "Americana" is featured on the bands upcoming full length, Venom & Tears, which drops on August 7th. Limited pre-orders for the album are available now at Newbury Comics.

Throwdown have been confirmed to headline the Ernie Ball stage on this summer's Warped Tour.
Press Release"We did about five dates on the Ernie Ball stage last year and we were really happy with how amazing they were," said singer Dave Peters. "A lot of our fans turned out last year and even more people stopped at our stage when they were walking by, with their churro or whatever, much like you would on the freeway if you saw a truck full of reality TV stars on fire."

This year, the band is back on Ernie Ball for the entire run.

After their current tour with Zao, Throwdown will head home and begin to write and record the follow up to Vendetta. A spring 2007 release is being scheduled. Don't forget that the band has some new material on the Trustkill Takeover compilation, which can be purchased here.

Throwdown recently recorded covers of "London Dungon" by the Misfits and "Planets Collide" by Crowbar with producer Mudrock (Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold), one of which will appear on the upcoming Trustkill Records compilation release, due out on October 31st.

Message From ThrowdownWe recently had two guitars and one bass guitar stolen from us in Costa Mesa, California about 2 weeks ago.

The guitars are:

*A Washburn Idol 164W with flat black finish and vintage bronze hardware with two EMG pickups and a white To Die For sticker on the body (which was likely peeled off).

*A Washburn Idol 164 with red wood finish, chrome hardward and two EMG pickups. No stickers.

*Ibanez Soundgear 900 bass with flat black finish and chrome hardwear with stock Ibanez pickups. No stickers.

All the above were given to us and can be replaced easily, however, we don't like...
